GAME ON is Rugby Australia’s national primary school program, funded through the Sporting Schools program and designed to increase the participation gateway in schools. The program introduces participants to the skills and core values required to play rugby through fun non-contact sessions. The program usually culminates with a school carnival celebrating all that has been learnt during the Sporting Schools program.
The program runs over five 40-60 minute sessions per class which are designed to prepare primary students for a healthy and active lifestyle.
Your students learn rugby skills through fun activities and games which build their confidence to a level where they enjoy a VIVA7s (non-contact rugby) matches in the final week of the program, either as an inter-school carnival, or within their class.
Tasmanian Rugby provides an Australian Rugby accredited Game On coach, who will provide all the equipment, and will ensure a fun and informative time for the students.
All Primary Schools in Tasmania are eligible for the Sporting Schools Primary School funding.
